Tonya Inthavong: A Legacy of Dedication and Excellence at Apex Mills

Tonya Inthavong’s journey at Apex Mills is a remarkable testament to perseverance, growth, and technical mastery. Since joining the company in 2005 as a second-shift Patroller, Tonya quickly distinguished herself through her unwavering reliability and exceptional work ethic.

In 2006, she advanced to the role of Knitter Operator, where her keen attention to detail and commitment to quality became unmistakably clear. Recognizing her potential, Apex Mills welcomed Tonya into its apprenticeship program in 2016, marking a significant milestone in her evolution as a Warp Knit Technician specializing in DNB 3D Spacer Fabrics. This role would become a defining chapter in her career.

Today, Tonya is celebrated as one of our most accomplished Warp Knit Technicians. Her deep technical expertise, precision, and dedication to excellence make her an invaluable member of the Apex Mills team. She embodies the spirit of continuous improvement and sets a high standard for performance and professionalism. Her leadership and achievements have earned her the admiration and respect of her colleagues.

Tonya is not only an exceptional technician but also a devoted wife and mother of three, gracefully balancing the demands of her career with the full-time responsibilities of family life. Her ability to excel in both roles is a true reflection of her strength, dedication, and resilience. In response to a question about what she values most, she shared:

“For me, life is a journey best experienced through the senses. When I hike, I find clarity in the rhythm of my footsteps and the quiet beauty of the natural world. The scent of fresh air on an open trail offers a sense of peace. Dining at fine restaurants allows me to explore creativity and culture through flavor, presentation, and each meal a celebration of craftsmanship. But it is caring for my family that these experiences truly come together. The warmth of being present, the joy in shared routines, and the comfort of home provide the most lasting fulfillment. Whether on a hiking trail, at a table, or in my living room, I’ve come to value not just where I am, but how deeply I engage with the people and moments around me.”

Looking ahead, Tonya will continue her apprenticeship training, expanding her skill set to include fabric design and analysis. Upon completion, she will earn the distinguished title of Senior Technician, a well-deserved recognition of her talent and hard work.

We are proud to celebrate Tonya’s outstanding contributions and the lasting impact she continues to create at Apex Mills.
